Dr. Khem Singh Bhati, the Advisor to the Saint Thomas' College of Law, holds a Masters' Degree in Economics and Ph D in Labour Law besides specialization in Company Law, Industrial Relations and Personnel Management.
Dr. Bhati served the IMS Law College, Noida as Professor, & Dean for about three years, just. before joining the STCL. Earlier he practiced law in the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India, Delhi High Court, District Courts, Administrative and other Tribunals etc for about 20 years.
He served as Registrar of the Indian Law Institute, a Deemed University & an International Centre of Legal Research, presided by the Hon'ble Chief Justice of India as President: and as Deputy Director at the Institute of Company Secretaries of India,a Statutory Professional Body.
He served the International Bar Association London and later the Law Society of Zimbabwe, Harare as Legal Specialist. He remained Member of the Executive Committee and Court of the University of Delhi and Director on the Board of the Indian social Institute and other prestigious law institutions. He has been a Visiting Professor of Law in the University of Delhi, MP Bhoj University and other professional institutions. He authored several articles which were published by the Indian social Institute and other organizations. He is associated with several social welfare organizations and is a devout social activist, committed to uphold the sanctity of Universal Human Rights.
Widely travelled, within the Country and abroad, he visited and lectured on law in UK, USA, Singapore, Hongkong, Zimbabwe etc.
A simple and humble person, Dr. Bhati is known for his humanistic and friendly traits.
